Ceramic artist, base in Taiwan.
ABOUT THE ARTIST

Chih Han Chang, a Taiwanese ceramic artist and product designer. With a background in industrial design, he is drawn to simplifying complex forms into quiet, essential shapes. In ceramics, this instinct becomes tactile—he builds slowly, letting form emerge through rhythm and intuition rather than precision or replication. His work is deeply influenced by East Asian aesthetics, especially bonsai pine trees and floral compositions. Like a branch twisted over time or a flower blooming for no occasion, each piece is hand-built, layer by layer, never identical. The forms grow from clay as if from soil—organic, asymmetrical, and unapologetically themselves.

SELECTED WORKS
Series One|Resembling a Pine Tree
Size : 22 x 7 x 30 cmStanding in stillness, like a pine. Inspired by the forms of East Asian bonsai, shaped by time, tension, and quiet refinement. Built slowly by hand, each piece curves and leans with its own rhythm—growing not by design, but as if from the earth itself.
Series Two|From a Single Leaf
Size : 20 x 12 x 23 cmBeginning with a single leaf, each piece grows through layered stacking and spatial extension. The lines mimic the branching structure of a pine tree, balancing complexity and simplicity—a quiet practice in distillation and form.
Series Three|Grow a Bouquet for Yourself
Size : 12 x 10 x 20 cmThese are not flowers placed in a vase—they grow from the soil of clay itself, reaching upward in bloom. Their forms are spontaneous yet intentional, shaped by nature’s rhythm and the hand’s quiet intuition. Each one grows for its own reason, and maybe, just for you.

MOTION WORKS
These motion pieces are created with AI, bringing still works to life and giving them a new form of expression.
Some feel like fragments from a dream, others like the works themselves have started to breathe.
They are not mere documentation, but an extension and reimagination.
